澳門獨立電影節2014 宣傳片 Macau Independent Film Festival 2014 Trailer
由影意志（澳門）電影協會主辦，澳門文化局資助『澳門獨立電影節2014』將於11月21日至12月5日期間，假澳門大會堂（3院）舉行為期兩星期，放映合共二十一場的電影節目，選片包括澳門，香港，中國，台灣，日本, 美國等來自不同地域的獨立電影。

獨立經典: 尊卡薩維蒂 – 首演之夜 Opening Night

舞台劇名伶Myrtle主演新劇《第二個女人》，要演青春不再的角色，心裡本來已感鬱悶，擔憂演藝生命快要落幕。某夜遇見熱情粉絲蜂擁索取簽名，卻目睹少女戲迷意外身亡，讓她驚覺少女也是自己即將死去的一部份，從此陷於自我交戰，舉止日漸失常，自信崩潰，無法投入綵排，演出時亂改台詞，紐約首演前更把自己灌至爛醉。卡薩維蒂夫妻檔同台合演對手戲，亦是Gena Rowlands榮登柏林影后之作。年輕戲迷猝死一幕日後還在艾慕杜華《論盡我阿媽》重演了一遍。

Opening Nights features Cassavetes and Gena Rowlands, an off-screen couple, and lands Gena a Silver Berlin Bear for Best Actress. It opens with a Broadway legendary actress Myrtle rehearsing for her latest play The Second Woman, about a woman unable to admit that she is aging. She becomes increasingly worried about the end of road of her stage life for playing an aging role. When she witnesses the death of an adoring young fan, she begins to suffer an emotional turmoil in both personal and professional issues, gradually leading a hysterical breakdown to both on and off stage things of hers. She became lost, senseless and dreadful, got drunk and unable to rehearse for her play. A point to note, the scene which the young fan died in an accident is referenced and repeated in Pedro Almodovar’s All about my Mother a decade later.

The Killing of a Chinese Bookie begins with Cosmo Vitelli, a strip club owner, settling his final payment on his longstanding gambling debt. Giving himself a go for a celebration of freedom, he spent another night with his strip dancers in casinos, where he eventually paid his price, literally and figuratively. Having lost every single buck and indeed, he was forced into agreeing to commit a murder case by his gang debtors. While he thinks he only needs to kill an anonymous Chinese bookie, he has no idea or whatsoever on the corner he’s forcing himself into and the consequences he has to bear. The sense of despair and desolation engulfs everyone, specifically with the closing credit singing and echoing “I can’t give you anything but love” in the background. A trulyinimitable work of Cassavetes, the film captured the ordeal of lives against the mesmerizing Vegas kind of world, bringing us an examination of human desperation and struggle to live.

Mabel, a mother of three, is seen as a “smart, beautiful and nerve-wracking” woman by her kids with her heart all on her kids and husband. The story begins when she intends to bring the kids to their grandma and pleases her husband with a lovely private night. It intensifies as her husband calls off the date for his overtime duty. She goes to a bar bringing a stranger back to the house to fulfill her emptiness, only if she finds it’s even more miserable. She was not under the influence of alcohol but a tense and frustrating relationship among her families and others, which a tiny little touch will tear her apart right away. In the next morning when her husband brings his colleagues over, the strange mannerisms and increasingly odd behavior of hers lead her to an eventual disastrous situation.

leaves home taking a journey alone to search for her mum. Wandering between the
dream and the reality, she visits her family members scattered in different parts of the
city. The forgotten secret of the family is gradually revealed. How does she deal with the
sorrow past, in the city where everyone wants to forget about it? With pieces of the
family story, she goes back to where she started when the sun rises. Is “reunion” just an
intangible dream? Following the journey of Hio, this film unfolds the complex of family
and reveals the unique moment at which the Macanese have undergone due to the

Director’s Biography: CHEUNG, King Wai
The Best New Director at the 29th Hong Kong Film Awards, the Winner of the Best Documentary, the Best Sound Editing and the Best Editing at the 46th Golden Horse Awards and the Award for Best Artist at Hong Kong Arts Development Awards 2009. Born in Hong Kong in 1968 and originated in Shenzhen, King Wai CHEUNG graduated in The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and Brooklyn College, City University of New York. His first film project, “Farewell Hong Kong”, competed in the Sundance Film Festival. Since then, his works have selected in many film festivals all over the world.

Poet Yuk Man, novelist Chow Tung and essayist Ling Leng are three senior female writers from Macau. Started their writing career in the 1970s, known as a gambling hub, they wrote their own lives, urban LANDSCAPES, emotions and stories. They have been farming on the barren land with a pen, exploring imagination for the city. Three have different writing styles, but their narratives bespeak the most simple and unadorned attitude and passion towards life. This documentary is a retrospection of their developments in writing during different periods of life, taking us to visit the bygone old Macau, and search for the hopeful glitter in her.

Growing up in Macau, CHOI has fallen in love with films since she was young. Chasing after her dream, she decided to pursue her studies in Taiwan. After her graduation, APART from working in Macao Television, she also makes short films and documentaries. The film I’m Here was screened in many festivals, including Asian and European ones. She took the MFA film production program in The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and recently finished it.

Director Biography’s: CHAN Chi Ieong, Wallace
A multimedia designer in Macau, CHAN is interested in interactive media and video-making. At the age of 21, he directed a short documentary Anachronic which received positive feedback from Hong Kong, Macau and Shenzhen. He also participated in the planning and editing of The Knighthood and Grand Prix. He started Craxh MULTIMEDIA PRODUCTIONS with partners in 2011, focusing on making commercial films, animations and websites.

她丈夫在過世前，曾囑咐她搬到與兒子同住，不要獨居在鄉村。然而，她決定以後一直要獨居，留守在祖屋，與那些屬於她的回憶、幻想和夢境一起居住。

Zlatka is an 80-something old lady living alone in a rural village in Bulgaria. She dreams people who have passed away – her husband, her mother. She also dreams people who die in her dream – like she killed her son in the dream. She strongly believes in dreams. Zlatka believes that something related will be happened after the dreams.
Her husband asked her to live with her sons before he passed away, but Zlatka decides to live alone in their house, to live with the wilderness and memory of her own creation.

導演簡介: 林鍵均
1988年生於葡萄牙殖民管治下的澳門，2010年畢業於澳門大學新聞及公共傳播學系。他於2007年開始電影及攝影創作，在澳門文化中心舉辦的「紀錄新勢力」計劃下，先後完成了兩部紀錄短片和兩部紀錄長片。
林於2011年在澳門文化局獎學金資助下，於倫敦大學金匠學院 （Goldsmiths, University of London）修讀紀錄片碩士課程，其碩士畢業作品「Who Are Those Devils」入選「第十屆倫敦短片節」、「2013雲之南紀錄影像展」競賽單元及「2014台灣南方影展」等電影節。
2013年中回澳後，著手準備關於澳門留級議題的紀錄片，該項目入圍澳門文化中心「影像新勢力」紀錄片資助計劃、以及韓國釜山國際電影節與半島電視台(Al Jazeera)合辦之工作坊，並於2014年十一月在半島電視台(英語台)播出。從旅居倫敦至近年，林主要參與國內外各電視台和機構委約的紀錄片項目。
Director’s Biography: LAM, Kin Kuan
was born in Macao in 1988, during the era of Portuguese colony. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from University of Macau in 2010. He has started filmmaking and photographing since 2007.
In 2012, Lam finished MA in Screen Documentary at Goldsmiths, University of London, with the scholarship support of Cultural Affairs Bureau of Macao. His graduation film for Goldsmiths, ‘Who Are Those Devils’, has selected to 2013 London Short Film Festival, Yunnan Multi Culture Visual Festival – In Competition and 2014 South Taiwan Film Festival, etc.
During his stay in London and recent years , Lam has been working on documentaries which commissioned by brocasters like Al Jazeera and China Central Television. He also edited the feature documentary ‘Lessons in Dissent’ at that time. The film selected by 2014 Hong Kong International Film Festival. Lam’s new project ‘Richest City, Poorest Student’ was selected to ‘Viewfinder workshop’ at Busan International Film Festival 2013, organised by Al Jazeera and Asian Network of Documentary. The film will be broadcasted in October 2014 on Al Jazeera.
